Thanks to the amendments made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey, the establishment of an Organized Specialized Agricultural Industrial Zone (TDIOSB) has been facilitated.
Amendments to the Agriculture-Based Specialized Organized Industrial Zones (TDIOSB) Regulations in Turkey were published in the Official Gazette last week, facilitating the establishment of TDIOSBs.
Accordingly, a regulation was made by the founding institutions and organizations to deposit the amount to be paid for each representative to be represented on the works council according to the rate of participation, not at the application stage, but at the the approval of the established committee. protocol.
The number of investors for which commitments are requested in crop production activity applications has increased from 15 to 30. The size of the plot to be allocated for each greenhouse crop production company has been reduced from 25 decares to 10 decares .
A provision has been added that the production topic determined during the establishment phase can be changed with the approval of the ministry in order to ensure the continuity of the project if necessary.
In the restrictive provision that the General Development Plan of the TDIOSB shall be drawn up “after the registration of the entire TDIOSB area in the name of a legal entity”, a provision has been made so that the process cannot not be extended. The provision has been changed to “In the TDIOSB area whose location has been finalized” so that transactions can be initiated after the acquisition of a legal person.
A provision has been added regarding matters that will be taken into account when preparing the general layout plan for the TDIOSB. In order not to interrupt the project implementations, provision has been made for the implementation of the zoning to be carried out in stages if necessary.
In Turkey, with the Organized Agricultural Specialized Industrial Zones (TDIOSB), important measures are taken to ensure agricultural development and security of food supply in order to set up “urban agriculture”. While the TDIOSBs, where individual powers are transformed into regional powers, are presented as the best examples of clustering activities, they contribute significantly to increasing the competitiveness of the agricultural sector. Durable, reliable and high value-added products can be produced in economically sized enterprises that can apply new technologies in these regions, where the infrastructure is provided.
34 of the TDIOSBs have obtained legal status
The TDIOSBs became legal entities; 14 of them are in Plant Production and 20 of them in Animal Production. While 6 of the TDIOSBs in the field of crop production are in position for geothermal greenhouse projects, the foundations of the largest specialized organized industrial zone based on heated geothermal agriculture (SERA) in Europe have been laid in Dikili, ?zmir.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has provided TL 600 million (approximately US$32.2 million) infrastructure loan support at current prices to TDIOSBs that have so far participated in the investment program. More than 5000 jebs have been supplied in 1000 production plots which have become operational in the TDIOSBs whose infrastructure constructions have been completed. With the activation of all production plots, the total employment of 50,000 people is expected.
